Garden-Patch Macaroni and Cheese*
mixed spinach or carrot corkscrew or elbow macaroni or other shape
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, for sauce, in a medium saucepan melt margarine. Stir in flour and pepper (mixture will be lumpy). Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened. Add cheese and stir until it melts.
Stir together cooked pasta, sauce and frozen vegetables. Transfer mixture to a 1-quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through. Makes 4 servings.
